So far three people have stepped forward to represent the Party as candidates in the BC election in May 2009.
We are preparing for our campaign and will issue a Media Release in early March.

Jan 2008 - Sex Party Defeats Canada Post
January 15, 2008
We waited three months for the judgment and when it arrived the news was good: we won! The judge ruled that Canada Post did not have legal authority to prohibit our election flyer and ordered Canada Post to clean up its legal act and re-write its regulations prohibiting sexual material.
Oct 2007 Sex Party goes to court
Our lawsuit against Canada Post goes to trial next week in Federal Court in Vancouver. It starts Oct 15 and goes for three days.
The case has generated a mountain of documents and an enormous amount of work for the Sex Party.
But the battle is worth it.

On January 12, 2006 The Sex Party sued Canada Post in Federal Court over its decision refusing to deliver the Party's political leaflet as unaddressed mail in the upcoming federal election.

The BC Civil Liberties Association calls "inappropriate and contrary to law" the ban on liquor sales at Sex Party events that feature erotic performance art.
May 5, 2005: Live Sex in Court: The Sex Party Sues Prov Govt
Violent touch OK in licenced premises; but erotic touch banned
The Sex Party has made good on its promise to challenge in court the sex-negative policies and decisions of the provincial Liquor Licencing Branch. The Party filed a Petition in the BC Supreme Court Wednesday afternoon May 4, 2005 against the General Manager of the Branch.
